Just had our annual family appointment at the newly launched The Opticians Easingwold. The whole experience from a friendly welcome at reception through to the expert consultation and quality range of glasses frames to choose from was fantastic. The waiting area and consultation rooms feel super fresh and modern and there is a great range of frames which means just choosing one pair is tricky! The dreaded pressure test which used to make me jump and scream has been updated with a new piece of kit which I barely blinked at! My reticence to commit to “lens one or two” during the test was kindly assuaged by Claire who is super patient and thorough. Once it was time to choose frames and lenses Danielle using her vast experience of matching the perfect frame to suit your face and personality had me sorted. I was then guided through a high tech measuring process which saw me twirl in front of a mirror! I was then shown the latest lens technology which Danielle tailored to my exact needs. My kids had the same great experience and less than a week later specs were ready, fitting was easy and seeing the world in 20/20 is great!

I had a painful irritation in one of my eyes and I was able to book a last minute appointment with Claire late in the day. After looking at the offending eye she suggested I should go straight to York Hospital which she rang through and arranged for me. The specialist at the hospital said that if I'd left it another day my eye would have permanently damaged so as you can imagine I am eternally grateful to Claire! Very thorough and knowledgeable, excellent Optometrist.
